We’re almost 90% of the way there to our $25,000 goal for this Operation Cornbread campaign - won’t you help us reach 100%?

As summertime arrives, so do vacations from school or work, and fun with family and friends. Summer is also a time when the need for Sisters’ food and nonviolent community is still high. For our families, summer is difficult. With children on summer vacation, school can no longer be used as a resource, which means we see more children in our cafe. Although need is great in the summer, it is also a time when we see lower giving.

Sisters is my home away from home. It’s family. You can’t get what you get here anywhere else. We have to get along here. We have to keep the peace. This is all we have.—Francine
